“We have gone from 0 to 30 hectares of sorghum in three years – and it’s only the beginning.”

Kacper Piechota is a farmer in Lubosz, commune of Kwilć, voivodeship of Wielkopolska (Greater Poland). He farms 180 hectares (50 hectares of sunflower, 30 hectares of sorghum, and 100 hectares of grains – rye, barley, and triticale). He has included sorghum among his crops in order to extend and diversify his rotations. From the very start, he obtained high yields, and he has since increased his sorghum area every year. A favorable sorghum dynamics is being noticed all over the country. Kacper Piechota presents his results and the way in which he chooses his varieties.
